What a Limo Actually Costs in Houston

From Sugar Land, an airport transfer in an executive sedan runs $120 to Hobby and $135 to IAH, and an SUV is $135 and $150 for the same two runs. The Port of Galveston is $195 in a sedan and $230 in an SUV. By the hour it is $75 for a sedan and $85 for an SUV. Those are flat rates, not estimates. A flat rate is fixed before you book and does not move with traffic, time of day or demand, which is the opposite of how rideshare pricing works and the main reason people switch.

Wedding, prom and corporate work is quoted as a package rather than off this table, because those days involve multiple pickups, waiting time and a timeline built with a coordinator. Call and we will price the day.

Tolls, airport fees and gratuity are inside the number. Nothing is added at the end of the trip. That matters more than the headline rate, because a $120 quote that becomes $150 at the curb is the most common complaint in this industry.

Also included: luggage assistance, a named chauffeur confirmed the night before, and flight tracking with wait time on airport arrivals. If your flight lands two hours late, the car adjusts and you are not charged for the delay.

The comparison worth making is not against another limo quote, it is against driving yourself. That one has real numbers on both sides, so the next section works through them rather than asserting an answer.

For most trips, parking is cheaper, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Houston Airports publishes its own rates: at IAH, ecopark is $10 a day uncovered and $12 covered, the terminal garages are $25 a day, and valet is $30. A round trip with us from Sugar Land is $270 in a sedan, so a three day trip parked in the garage costs $75 and we do not win that one.

Where it turns is longer trips and bigger parties. At the $25 a day garage rate, the arithmetic crosses at eleven days: $275 of parking against $270 for the round trip. At valet rates it crosses at nine. And the moment there are four of you, a $270 round trip is $67.50 a head, which beats garage parking on almost any trip and means nobody drives.

Neither number includes the ninety mile round trip of driving, the fuel, or the drive home at the end of a red-eye. One of our reviewers put the rest of it more bluntly than we would: she stopped driving to the airport because of the expense, the weather damage and the risk of things going missing from the car. That is the part a rate table cannot price.

Two honest reasons and one less honest one. The honest ones: rates genuinely vary by pickup point across a metro this size, and event work really is bespoke. The less honest one: a quote given over the phone can be adjusted to the caller.

We publish because a fixed number is easier for everyone. You know what the ride costs before you book, we do not spend the call negotiating, and nobody is surprised at the curb.

Distance from Sugar Land is the main one. The table covers our home base; a pickup in Katy, Fulshear or Pearland is quoted the same way, as a fixed number before you book, just a different number. Call with your address and we will give it to you on the spot.

Vehicle size is the second. An executive sedan carries up to three passengers with three suitcases. A Cadillac Escalade ESV carries six with six suitcases. Choosing the SUV for a family or a golf trip costs $15 more on an airport run, which is usually less than people expect.

Time of day does not change the price. We run 24 hours, and a 4 a.m. pickup costs the same as a 4 p.m. one. There is no surge.
