IAH has five terminals — A, B, C, D and E — and Houston Airports publishes a specific pickup door for each one on the Baggage Claim / Arrivals level. Terminal A is the north side at Door A-113, with a separate south-side door, A-115, used for American and Spirit passengers. Terminal B is the north side at Door B-101. Terminal C is the north side at Door C-102. Terminal E is Door 103B on the south side. Follow the signs marked “Arrivals” and then “Passenger Pick-Up” — the doors are numbered, and that number is what your chauffeur needs from you.
Terminal D is the exception, and it is the one that catches people out. Houston Airports' own pick-up and drop-off page lists Terminal D's pickup point as the Terminal E International Arrivals Hall, with the note that international passengers arriving at Terminal D proceed through Customs and Immigration to Terminal E. There is no separate Terminal D arrivals curb to meet at.
Drop-offs work differently from pickups, so do not assume the door you were dropped at is the door you come back to: departures are on Level 2 for Terminals A, C and E, and on Level 1 for Terminal D. If you are being collected after a domestic flight, give your chauffeur the airline as well as the terminal — American and Spirit passengers are directed to the A-115 curb — because a terminal letter on its own can send a car to the wrong door.
